As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for performing and supporting laboratory testing activities throughout all phases of the testing process, including pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical procedures.
Your responsibilities will include: Preparing and organizing anesthesia equipment and supplies by reviewing surgery schedules and planning for what the team will need Setting up, transporting, and maintaining anesthesia carts and equipment to keep all supplies clean and ready for safe use Helping patients by assisting with transfers, positioning, preparation, and applying non-invasive monitoring devices Acting quickly and confidently if an emergency happens Keeping the environment clean and safe by following infection prevention and safety practices Speaking openly with patients, families, and your team, always protecting patient privacy and advocating for patient rights What qualifications you will need: Must obtain within 1 year of hire and maintain current CNA certification or be enrolled in nursing schoolMust maintain current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) Certification offered in new hire orientation.
