Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Bilingual (English/Spanish [Preferred]) • Computer proficiency [Required] • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, [Required] • Must have knowledge and skill in providing care and initiating procedures for patients with medical and/or surgical conditions • Must be competent in the use of a computer, telephone, copier, fax machine, stethoscope, blood pressure monitor, thermometer, glucose monitor, pulse oximeter, weight scale, ENT scope, personal protective equipment, and other patient care equipment necessary to perform required duties as appropriate to the scope of the practice • Must tactfully handle delicate, sensitive, and sometimes, controversial issues related to the care of terminally ill patients and their families • Must have good clinical judgment • Must promote patient safety through effective communication • Oncology experience [Required] • Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures [Required] • Ability to work as a team player within a unit [Required] • Effective verbal and oral communication and problem-solving skills [Required] • Knowledge of Radiation Oncology clinical pathways [Required] • PACU, Pre- and Post-Anesthesia Knowledge [Required].
