The qualifications are: Promotional: One year of permanent competitive, non-competitive, 55-b/55-c, or labor class service as follows: Bridge Repair Assistant, Construction Equipment Operator, Equipment Operator Instructor, General Mechanic, Trades Generalist, Highway Equipment Operator, Highway Maintenance Worker 1, Highway Maintenance Worker 2, Maintenance Assistant, Pavement Marking Supervisor, Sign Crew Supervisor, Tree Pruner, Tree Pruner Supervisor, Bridge Repair Mechanic, Trades Specialist (Bridge), Assistant Drill Rig Operator, or Drill Rig Operator. These projects might include, but are not limited to, patching pavement and filling potholes; cleaning ditches and drainage structures; cutting trees, shrubs, and mowing grass; repairing guiderail and signs; repairing drainage systems and culverts; performing various duties around the Residency's facilities; plowing roads; applying anti-icing materials on pavement in the winter and performing any task of subordinate workers as necessary.
