Post-Doctoral Associate in the Department of Chemistry

Assignments may include working as an individual or as part of a project team to assist with environmental site assessments; on-site investigations of contaminated soil, sediment, groundwater, surface water, and vapor; aquifer test performance and analysis; construction observation; development of site conceptual models; and preparation of drilling logs, geologic maps, cross-sections, and technical reports. Work environment: ability to work in locations that may feature rough terrain typical of construction sites and may also require entering and working in facilities that include limited accessibility, moving machinery, and other conditions typical of industrial facilities.

Geologist - Entry Level (Hybrid)

Develop and interpret thermodynamic equilibrium and kinetic-controlled reaction models using PHREEQC; collaborate with hydrology and hydrogeologic models to simulate reactive transport; design and oversee material characterization and field and laboratory testing programs; and evaluate acid rock drainage, metal leaching, mineral solubility, and water chemistry to support predictive and defensible decision-making. You will provide technical direction on conceptual site models and assessment of geochemical systems, oversee data collection and analysis, lead predictive modeling efforts, and contribute to strategic decision-making related to acid rock drainage, metal leaching, mineral solubility, and water quality.

Geochemist - Senior Level (Hybrid)

Field work: conduct geotechnical field investigations and perform site visits, including at construction, quarrying and mine sites; assign geotechnical laboratory tests; analyze lab and field data; and support development of geotechnical reports. Services will include consulting with clients and supporting projects in construction, quarrying, and mining related to rock excavation, blast design, vibration analysis, rock fragmentation analysis, and technical troubleshooting.

Geotechnical and Blasting Engineer - Mid Level (Hybrid)
