p>About You: You're a fit for the role of #2 Operator in Press if you have the following required qualifications:
ā¢ Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher ā¢ Candidates with a vocational/technical degree are strongly preferred ā¢ Experience leading and training others ā¢ Experience working in an industrial setting with a wide range of production machinery ā¢ Strong mechanical and technical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot, and work independently and as part of a team to resolve issues ā¢ Solid understanding of Lean concepts and continuous improvement ā¢ Competent with rulers and measurement ā¢ Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and production orders ā¢ Can regularly lift at least 5 lbs. above the shoulder as well as push, pull and lift at least 10 lbs occasionally up to 50 lbs ā¢ Regularly standing walking, crouching, bending, reaching and kneeling.
About the Role:
In this opportunity as a #2 Operator in Press, you will:
ā¢ Reviewing job specifications for material and set-up requirements ā¢ Performing or delegating set-up tasks ā¢ Monitoring the equipment and product through the job run to ensure a high-quality product ā¢ Performing moderately complex trouble-shooting related to product or equipment ā¢ Communicating effectively during shift and at shift hand-off ā¢ Evaluating mechanical condition of equipment, completing preventive maintenance; involving Maintenance as needed ā¢ Using computer-based workflow applications to manage files ā¢ Accurately documenting activities on Tier Boards and in relevant systems (MII, SAP), i.e., material usage, equipment issues, etc.
