Assists OSC staff and Inventory Specialist in analyzing and deciding the best options for local delivery based on time, cost, and vehicle availability, with respect to multiple locations and extremely time-sensitive shipments. Communicates effectively and professionally with Office Staff, Sales Representatives and all third party end-users, including but not limited to Hospital Receiving, Central Processing, and Operating Room Staff.
The Logistics Specialist plays a critical role in inventory management, ensuring optimal stock levels are maintained to support data center build and repair operations. In this role, you"ll play a pivotal part in maintaining the heartbeat of our data center operations by ensuring seamless logistics and inventory management that directly support our technology deployment and maintenance efforts.
This role focuses specifically on tasks such as daily reporting, internal and external stakeholder relationship management, carrier rate and contract ownership, process improvement initiatives, and booking exception management through various communication channels. Cable or fiber internet connections (at least 75mbps download/10mbps upload) are preferred, as satellite connections often cannot support the technologies used to perform day-to-day tasks.
You’ll work closely with shipping sites, carriers, and internal teams, using tools like a Transportation Management System (TMS) and email platforms to manage high-volume activity and real-time problem solving. Troubleshoot shipment issues across multiple transportation modes, including Truckload (TL), Less-Than-Truckload (LTL), rail, bulk, and specialized freight, escalating when needed.
