p>Ideal candidates will have: Professional level experience as part of a multi-disciplinary treatment team Served as a program specialist or provided technical expertise through the application of appropriate individual or group psycho-therapeutic methods to adults during periods of crisis Familiarity with and ability to function within the organizational structure of a law enforcement agency Experience interfacing with a wide range of community organizations and knowledge of community resources Professional demeanor with other agencies and collaborative partners with incarcerated individuals and families of incarcerated individuals Knowledge of the California Welfare Act, Lanterman-Petris-Short (LPS) Act and Penal Codes 1026, 2970 and 1370 In addition, the department desires a candidate that displays leadership skills, can communicate effectively, can hold self and others accountable, is a problem solver and is innovative, demonstrates ethical behavior, leverages resources (coaches and develops), drives to excel, maximizes team effectiveness, and is supportive of change.
Current licensure by the State of California as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Marriage, Family and Child Counselor (MFCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Clinical Psychologist Possession of a masters degree from an accredited graduate school in social work, psychology, counseling or a closely related field; At least two (2) years of full-time, post-masters degree experience in a mental health program providing counseling and crisis intervention to adults under clinical supervision.
