The care may include, but is not limited to, the following: obtaining and recording in the medical record: blood pressure, pulse, temperature and pulse oximetry, drawing blood, EKG, administration of oral medications, transporting patients, obtain urine and stool specimens, perform point of care testing, assist with procedures consistent with the scope of the employee's position (i.e. dressing changes, dressing, grooming, toileting, ambulating, transferring, observing, and reporting the general well-being of the person(s) to whom they are providing care). Perform routine, uncomplicated treatment procedures including enemas, application of hot and cold compresses, dressing changes, wound cleansing, obtaining vital signs including orthostatic vital signs and rectal temperatures and splinting of extremities.
