Examples of specialized experience includes: Provide staff/providers with supportive and constructive feedback that includes self-reflection to help them build new skills and develop professionally; Develop annual flight-wide professional development plan in collaboration with the Child and Youth Services Flight Chief and Director/Coordinator; revise curricula as needed to meet child/youth changing needs, capitalize on special interests and correct problem situations; assist staff and family child care providers with creating developmentally appropriate learning environments, both inside and outside, that support the ages of children/youth enrolled; support children who may have special needs or complex behaviors; monitor and/or provide technical assistance to staff for children with an Individual Educational Plan (IEP) or Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP);serve as the principle point of contact for the developmental program portion of Headquarters Air Force, Major Command (MAJCOM), or other inspections by developmental assessment teams; participate in special projects and initiatives and perform special assignments. Combination of education and experience -- Courses equivalent to a major in child development, early childhood education, youth development, family studies, or an equivalent field of study, plus appropriate experience or additional course work that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the 4-year course of study in the field of child or youth development or family studies.
