Our lab is large, bright, clean and includes: -20 microtomy stations with Leica microtomes, a water bath, a cold plate, a computer and an ESPO printer, -2 sakura and 4 Leica embedding stations, -6 Peloris processors, -DreamPath block filing system, one Leica and one Sakura automated H&E stainers/coverslippers (glass), -4 Dako Artisan special stainers, brand new (not yet validated for patient tissue) ClaraPath SectionStar automated microtome (automatically cuts slides from blocks). The primary responsibilities will include: Extensive experience paraffin embedding and cutting biopsies Microtomy and sectioning for routine H&E staining Immunohistochemistry (IHCs) and molecular procedures Processing information and office orders Minimal special staining and processing duties Requirements: Certification: ASCP-HT (American Society for Clinical Pathology - Histotechnician) Experience: At least 1 year of hands-on experience in histology, with specific expertise in microtomy and paraffin embedding.
