Set up, assist, and clean up after procedures: The bronchoscopy technician prepares for and assists with bronchoscopies, administration of local anesthesia to patients, explaining the procedure and goal of anesthesia to patients, addressing their concerns and anxieties, with knowledge of its toxicity and adverse effects, monitoring vital signs, and collaborating with the nurse and physician on administration of conscious sedation.
