SUMMARY: Under the direct supervision of the Department Manager, the Interpreter Services Dispatcher is responsible for a broad range of dispatch duties, projects and administrative duties related to facilitating and ensuring the provision of language services at Alameda Health System (AHS).
p>Incumbent must possess and maintain skills certification from the National Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) and/or certification from the National Association of the Deaf (NAD); possible substitution for years of formal training and/or experience in higher education professional interpreting work will be considered. - Provide professional level sign language interpreting/transliterating services for students, faculty, staff and guests of the campus who are Deaf, hard-of-hearing, or deaf-blind in a variety of assignments across campus.
