Typical work assignments may include, but are not limited to: - Planning, organizing, assigning, directing, scheduling and evaluating the work of all employees in the unit;
- Designing, documenting, developing, testing, installing and implementing new applications software;
- Planning and designing new and improved information systems to meet the needs of customer requirements;
- Performing oversight of a wide range of information technology support tasks associated with day-to-day operation of the USAO IT systems to meet USAO information needs utilizing network hardware and software capabilities;
- Maintaining district-wide responsibility for testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation, implementation, maintenance and management of networked systems used for the transmission of information in data, voice and/or video format;
- Ensuring IT systems availability, functionality, integrity, and efficiency;
- Ensuring the confidentiality and security of systems, networks, and data through the planning, analysis, development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of information systems security programs, policies and procedures.
