Under general supervision of the Parks Operations Supervisor, the Groundsworker performs manual labor to establish and maintain the maintenance and upkeep of public parks, grounds, buildings, athletic fields, and related facilities within an assigned area of the Parks and Recreation Department, including but not limited to landscaping, grounds maintenance, mowing, athletic fields, and maintenance of buildings and structures within City parks and other City areas. Duties require sitting, standing, walking, reaching, twisting, turning, kneeling, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, grasping and making repetitive hand movements in the performance of daily duties, as well as the ability to lift, carry, and push objects weighing over 100 pounds or more.
