Additionally, the Porter is responsible for the general cleanliness and upkeep of common area facilities including but not limited to, the pool and spa, club room, public rest rooms, laundry rooms, parking areas and exterior building lights. The Porter provides a customer-centric focus to the care and maintenance of the outdoor features of a residential property, including landscaping of planting beds, lawn care, snow and ice removal from hard surfaces, and trash removal.
The duties include: • Deploys approved monitoring traps for Yellow-Legged Hornet Eradication • Enters monitoring trap information into Plant Protection's Survey 123 software (or other approved software) • Checks monitoring traps as directed by supervisor, approximately once per week, from March until mid-December, and every 2-3 weeks the remainder of the year • Changes the bait/lure each time the monitoring trap is checked or as directed • Re-deploys if the original trap is damaged, missing, or otherwise needs replacement • Enters the correct information into Survey 123 when checking monitoring traps • Notifies supervisor when yellow-legged hornets are found in a monitoring trap • Yellow-Legged Hornet Trapper does not disclose the location of any traps to non-departmental personnel • May assist other department personnel in nest location activities.
