Our client is seeking an Electric Drive Application Engineer to join their dynamic team. As an Electric Drive Application Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Engineering department supporting innovative electric drive solutions for mobile equipment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to collaboration, which will align successfully within the organization.
Job Title: Electric Drive Application Engineer
Location: Savage, MN
What's the Job?
- Size, select, and apply electric drives and motors for off-highway and mobile equipment
- Develop and support system schematics for drives, controls, and accessories
- Provide on-site validation, testing, and start-up support for OEM customers
- Collaborate on identifying and qualifying new technology and vendor partners
- Support Account Managers with technical expertise and application guidance
What's Needed?
- 2-year technical degree required; 4-year engineering degree (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or similar) preferred
- 2+ years of experience as an Application Engineer, Technical Specialist, or similar role
- Experience developing, applying, and supporting electric drive solutions
- Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on, customer-focused mindset
- Comfortable working in the field as well as in a technical office environment
