Strong ability to relate effectively with staff, youth, and community agencies; Ability to work with people of varied cultural backgrounds and tolerate differences in behavior; Strong understanding of general accounting principles and payroll process; Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks; Maintain confidentiality; Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software; Intermediate to advance Excel skills (i.e. pivot tables, vlookups, formulas, data analyses); Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; Outstanding communication skills for working with front-line staff, management and board members, plus vendors, community donors and others; Willingness and ability to work outside of normal business hours, and Holidays and/or weekends as needed; Possess a current state of Alaska Driving License; Have a clean driving record; Pass federal, state and local background investigation. accounts to ensure reconciled and accurately allocated, and preparing journal entries for review by the Senior Director of Finance; Cash management including but not limited to completing bank deposits, forwarding deposit information to appropriate Corporate contact and agency donor database manager, and preparing banking transactions for review in a timely manner; Provides support in the preparation of the agency’s annual audit and other internal and external reviews, as necessary; Prepares monthly and quarterly grant billings; Keeps supervisor fully informed at all times; Any other duties as assigned.
