This includes but is not limited to: portioning food according to the Child and Adult Care Food Program guidelines, ensure proper food handling, storage, labeling, and temperature controls at all times, preparing, organizing, and distributing meals and snacks to classrooms in a timely manner, Other duties include maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen and storage areas, including, but not limited to, dishes, equipment/tools, walk-ins, refrigeration, freezers, dry storage, and laundry. As part of Jefferson County's Head Start department, the Head Start Kitchen Site Aide is responsible for supporting with a variety of day-to-day tasks that support overall functioning of classrooms, food service, cleanliness and safety, and any other program needs.
