Responsibilities: • Negotiating and drafting agreements and contracts on behalf of the company, including commercial vendor contracts, client agreements, leases, and technology licenses • Offering counsel on a variety of legal and compliance issues, including healthcare regulatory matters (especially privacy issues); contractual matters, including potential risks and liabilities; corporate organization; and litigation management • Collaborating with senior executives and departments within the company on important strategic initiatives • Researching and anticipating unique legal and healthcare regulatory/compliance issues that could impact the company • Using independent judgment to escalate important legal and compliance issues to the companys governing body. from a recognized university and licensed to practice law • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels of the organization • Strong negotiating skills with both legal and financial/commercial issues • Sharp attention to detail • Managed care experience is preferred, in particular negotiation of value-based care agreements • General knowledge of healthcare regulatory law, in particular fraud and abuse laws, HIPAA and privacy matters, Medicare Advantage and Medicaid obligations, and corporate practice of medicine • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships within the organization across all businesses.
