p>The duties of this position are performed in both an office and field environment, which include but are not limited to: planning/scheduling/monitoring daily maintenance operations in assigned area; establishing job priorities and timelines for tasks and activities; actively working in the field to lead, supervise, and train assigned crew members, including providing hands-on guidance, conducting performance evaluations, coaching and counseling, and administering disciplinary actions as necessary; supervising usage, care, and preventive maintenance of assigned vehicles, equipment, and tools; maintaining and ordering materials and supplies; estimating the cost of proposed maintenance projects; ensuring that all administrative paperwork is filled out and submitted in a timely manner; and performing other directly related duties consistent with the role and function of the classification. Position requires a high school diploma (or GED) supplemented by three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in the drainage maintenance and repair field with two years at a supervisory level, and/or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
