n the typical workday as a Field Services Technician, you will provide direct support to customers by completing a variety of work, such as new installations, troubleshooting and repairing system issues, maintaining, and servicing Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) at industrial facilities. Ability to work in physically demanding situations that may require you to lift 50 pounds unassisted, stand for extended periods, climb ladders, etc.
li>This position includes emergency response, a continuing condition of employment is agreeing to be on-call; on occasion working on weekends and holidays will be required; emergency response situations can extend beyond 8 hours, up to 12-24 hrs. This role will be active in the field responsible for the performance of tasks associated with hazardous waste clean-up, site-remediation, equipment decontamination and handling of hazardous materials.
Ability to work with moving mechanical parts, pressurized steam equipment, open flames, heated surfaces, liquids, and risk of electrical shock in damp, humid, or freezing conditions. p>Generator Service Technicians are responsible for performing both shop and/or field repairs, maintenance service and troubleshooting of diesel and gas generators, including automatic transfer switches, batteries, and load banks.
- Working knowledge of power generation systems and its components, including knowledge of the mechanical operation, associated hazards, and proper usage of the equipment in order to troubleshoot and accurately diagnose malfunctions.
