QUALIFICATIONSā¢One to three years of professional or volunteer event coordination experience.ā¢Bachelorās degree in Marketing, Hospitality, Business Management, or a related field is preferred; however, candidates with 2ā3 years of proven experience in event planning, hospitality, or marketing, alongside strong skills in logistics management and vendor coordination will also be strongly considered.ā¢Personable presence and demeanor with the desire to engage in personal contact with the external community, including volunteers, donor prospects, and members.ā¢Outstanding commitment to customer service.ā¢Strong attention to detail with an outstanding ability to multi-taskā¢Ability to exercise good judgment and diplomacy in working with volunteer leadership and donors.ā¢Creative thinker with a willingness to seek innovative ideas.ā¢Strong team player who can take initiative and can work independently.ā¢Strong Also works with volunteer leadership for designated events.ā¢Prepares nametags, materials, registration lists and other event materials in coordination with Advancement Services for donor/member/fundraising events.ā¢Assist the Events Director in event logistics for Zoo To Do, the Zooās annual fundraising gala.ā¢Coordinates the annual Zoo To Do silent auction and live auction fulfillment post event.ā¢Manages and tracks assigned event budgets.ā¢Coordinates on-site production to ensure smooth execution of the event, including trouble shooting and clean up.
