Perform day-to-day power plant electrical maintenance activities to ensure the safe and compliant tasks including, but not limited to, pulls cable, install and bend conduit, perform basic machine tool operations and mechanical repairs using appropriate tools, perform burning and heating tasks using an oxy-acetylene torch, solder electronic components, complete rigging, install wiring, conduit, fixtures, transformers, and other electrical devices appropriately necessary for the proper and safe operation of electrical systems, circuits, and equipment, and connect, disconnect, and LOTO (lock-out/tag-out) equipment and circuits for test or repair. Environment: Works in an indoor office/shop setting and occasionally outside with exposure to sun, heat, cold, humidity, and inclement weather, noise, dust, no/low light, confined spaces, mold, gases, chemicals, fumes, odors, heights, potentially hazardous conditions, uneven ground, and rough terrain; occasionally requires irregular and/or prolonged hours.
