Per California Code, Health and Safety Code, Section 11833(b)(1): Positions assigned to the Substance Use Disorder Services program require proof of certification as a substance use disorder counselor by, or registration with, one of the California Department of Health Care Services approved certifying organizations, which are: California Association for Alcohol and Drug Educators, California Association of DUI Treatment Programs, or California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals. The Substance Use Disorder Services (SUDS) Program leads efforts in our community to prevent and reduce the impact of substance use disorders by developing, administering, and implementing evidence-based approaches to youth prevention, treatment, and recovery programs in El Dorado County.
