ul>Plans, organizes, assigns, reviews and participates in all phases of the work of an assigned survey crew;
Supervises various types of land surveys, such as design, easement/property, land, construction, photogrammetry and as-built;
Researches and analyzes available information and data affecting proposed survey projects from a variety of sources, and then organizes required work to develop the required additional information;
Completes and applies mathematical equations and calculations to land surveying work;
Performs calculations, before and after land survey projects;
Selects the most time-/cost-efficient methods to accomplish a land survey project;
Conducts field survey work using GPS equipment, total station electronic/optical instruments, and other devices required in land surveying work;
Utilizes data collector devices to record and collect geospatial data for each project;
Produces and maintains accurate notes, records and sketches of all work performed and data secured in manual logs, records and forms and in computer-based systems;
Maintains a clean and safe work environment and ensures that all equipment, instruments, and devices are kept in good working order;
Directs the implementation of needed work-site safety and traffic control procedures to assure safety of survey crews;
Trains survey crew in technical land survey and safety methods, techniques and procedures;
Assigns work to, and evaluates performance of assigned staff.
