POSITION SUMMARY: Under general supervision the Patient Hospitality Service Representative is responsible to transport, operate and maintain the Retherm (thermal trays) cart and its companion cart, provide individualized meal service to every patient, assemble patient meal trays following diet orders ensuring diet accuracy. Follow established sanitation procedures for cleaning the Retherm Cart, companion cart, serving utensils, trays, dishes and miscellaneous items used on the cart.

POSITION SUMMARY: Under supervision of the Outpatient Nutrition Manager, the Outpatient Dietitian assesses, develops, and coordinates medical nutrition therapy and education activities for patients with complex nutritional needs in the treatment of acute and chronic diseases including but not limited to diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular disease, medical weight loss, CKD, and GI disorders within the Internal Medicine department at Boston Medical Center. The Outpatient Dietitian plays a key role in the creation and management of complex dietary regimens and protocols within the department and plays an active role in developing nutrition based programming, and in the mentorship and education of peers, staff, and students while demonstrating consistent high level of competency.

Requires lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, getting in and out of a vehicle up to 30 times per day, bending, reaching, twisting, walking, and climbing multiple flights of stairs at residences that do not have elevators.

Graduate of an accredited professional school of Nursing; Must maintain current license status and be in good standing with the Board of Nursing; Certified Addiction Registered Nurse and/or Psychiatric Registered Nurse certification preferred. Time off requests placed with more than 30 days are typically granted and within 30 days a scheduler app assists in trading or filling shifts.
