PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This work requires the occasional exertion of up to 25 pounds of force; work regularly requires using hands to finger, handle or feel and repetitive motions, frequently requires sitting, reaching with hands and arms and tasting or smelling and occasionally requires standing, walking, speaking or hearing, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling and pushing or pulling; work requires close vision with fine details for extended periods of time; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word and conveying detailed or important instructions to others accurately, loudly or quickly; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels and to receive detailed information through oral communications and/or to make fine distinctions in sound; work requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data, visual inspection involving small defects and/or small parts, operating machines motor vehicles and observing general surroundings and activities. Performs difficult skilled technical work providing direct supervision of Latent Print Examiners, analyzing, comparing, evaluating, and verifying latent and known finger and palm print evidence, reviews cases for strict scientific methodology and quality assurance procedures, testifies as an expert witness in court and researches advancements in forensic science technology and related work as apparent or assigned.
