p>Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following: Connect eligible AE students looking for employment or training to MVCC;
Build partnerships with area businesses, AE providers, and training programs leading to an industry recognized credential;
Develop a two-way referral process with MVCC staff and area ABE providers servicing MVCC customers;
Establish and maintain a schedule with posted hours at the Valley Works Career Center;
Maintain and share accurate records monthly of customer intakes, assessments, referrals, and other services provided;
Utilize LPS-LPS-ALC approved assessments to gather vital intake data;
Schedule appointments for MVCC customers seeking ABE services;
Provide follow-up contact with customers to ensure that they either enroll in AE classes or are placed on a waiting list.
Solutions-based approach to dealing with identified needs, problems, and or conflict;
Willingness to take initiative and succeed in a fast-paced environment while remaining calm and focused when faced with unexpected challenges;
Commitment to embrace the ideals of diversity and inclusiveness, and the equal rights of all people by advancing the understanding and appreciation of human differences including age, gender, race, ethnicity, ability, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, or socio-economic status;
Qualifications:
Bilingual preferred;
Bachelor's Degree Required/ Master's Degree preferred;
Valid Massachusetts Teaching License preferred,
At least three (3) years' experience working with adults in an Adult Education setting;
Current Authorization to work in the United States.
