p>MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School/GED graduate is required;
Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Behavioral Science or a closely related field is desirable;
Must be a current Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) in the State of Texas and in good standing;
Completion of the Co-Occurring Psychiatric and Substance use Disorders (COPSD) Certification is desirable;
Two (2) years relevant work experience with adults in dealing with Dual Diagnosis and/or Substance Abuse issues and counseling is required;
One (1) year relevant work experience working in a Co-Occurring Psychiatric and Substance use Disorders (COPSD) unit is preferred;
Education or experience may be substituted for one another;
Required to complete the Residential Staff Certification Course within one (1) year of assignment to a residential facility, if applicable;
