Job Description Summary: Under limited direction, the Finance Deputy Director assists with leading and overseeing all financial activities for the organization and within the Finance Department including accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury, investments, budget, debt issuance and management, payroll, licensing, tax collection, tax auditing, purchasing, internal auditing, the city's retirement plans, risk management, ERP support management, capital and long-term financial strategy, and mail room. Partners with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) on strategic planning, work planning, annual operating planning (budgeting), long-term financial planning, fund structure and fund analyses, debt strategies, and ballot issues.
