Preferred Requirements** + 8 years of MDOT, other state DOT, or local agency construction inspection experience required; or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, skills, knowledge, abilities and experience + Thorough understanding of construction principles and practices + Ability to document any and all relevant events, issues and variances + Good active written and verbal communication with construction personnel and engineers + Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications **Additional Information** + Weekend and night work will be required + Overnight travel within the state may be required + Valid Driver's license, with good driving record + Sponsorship is not available for this role Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
