Job Responsibilities and Requirements:.
li>Provides diagnostic evaluations of children suspected of being emotionally or autistic impaired and collaborates with the educational planning and placement committees in the determination of eligibility of persons for programs and services in accordance with R340.1706 and R340.1722 of the Michigan Administrative Code.
Provides a problem solving service to children and their families through individual, group, family and community social work methods, so as to enable those served to cope with problems adversely affecting the ability of children to make optimal use of the educational experience.
Licensure by applicable state requirements; Certified as a Social Worker (CSW), Certified Advanced Practice Social Worker (APSW), Certified Independent Social Worker (CISW), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) issued by the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services is required. APSW or CISW personnel, following 3,000 hours of clinical social work practice including at least 1,000 hours of face-to-face contact supervised by a person meeting board requirements, may apply for licensure at the LCSW level.
