LAW ENFORCEMENT: Patrols within the jurisdictional limits of the City of Riverton as assigned, investigating and documenting violations of local, state, or federal laws; takes appropriate action on violations by verbal or written warnings, citation/summons, affidavit, or arrests; protects life and property; participates in problem-oriented policing; responds to emergencies and controls hazardous situations; provides security checks; responds to requests for assistance form citizens; transports prisoners to and from the county jail. Officers will, at all times, within jurisdictional limits, endeavor to prevent crime, preserve the peace, protect life and property, detect and arrest violators of the law, and enforce the laws of the United States, the State of Wyoming, and all local ordinances, in accordance with the rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and orders of the jurisdiction and the Department.
