The faculty member will participate actively in program development and improvement; mentor and advise students with diverse student backgrounds, including in support of health informatics projects and capstone experiences; participate in the recruitment and review of applications for student admissions; attend regular health informatics program meetings and the department meetings, and collaborate with colleagues to ensure the curriculum remains innovative, inclusive, and responsive to the evolving field of health informatics, and engage in service to the department, College, university, and local or professional communities. The successful candidate will demonstrate versatility in teaching a wide range of undergraduate and graduate courses in health informatics, including computer programming for health data analytics using Python and/or R, applications of artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and natural language processing (NLP) in healthcare, health data management, health application development, and clinical decision support systems.
