In conjunction with the clinical team, the Family Peer Recovery Coach completes program intakes/assessments, facilitates groups, promotes engagement and provision of peer and family support services; and serves as an advocate for the participant and family for services as a point of interaction between participant's family and the program. The Family Peer Recovery Coach provides direct support and case management services to assigned family members and participants and works closely with participants and their families to ensure that their needs are expressed and that they have a "voice" in their recovery plan.
p>Peer Recovery Coaches II provide consultation to the team to promote and reinforce Telecare's Recovery Culture as defined by the Telecare Recovery Centered Clinical System (RCCS) in which each member's point of view and preferences are recognized, understood, respected, and integrated into services and self-help programming. Additionally, Peer Recovery Coaches respond to critical situations with high-level engagement and de-escalation skills which support a least restrictive environment for members served experiencing an emergency related to a mental health/addiction challenge.
p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: - Intermediate computer skills including spreadsheets, word processing, database, and presentation software•Ability to communicate effectively including listening, verbal, written, and presentation software•Demonstrate ability to apply critical thinking to identify solutions to problems•Demonstrate basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division•Ability to manage competing priorities and exercise flexibility•Experience working with adults with disabilities preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance: •Viewing computer screen/monitor•Keyboarding•Maneuvering to and around equipment•Bending, kneeling, stooping, and reaching•Moving or lifting boxes up to 25 pounds•(For some positions)Transporting to various locations within customer site(s) as needed.
