This role involves drafting and reviewing administrative subpoenas and cease and desist orders for legal sufficiency, interviewing witnesses, and preparing affidavits.
You will also participate in charitable enforcement efforts by attending client meetings with AAGs and assisting in tracking and monitoring the progress of ongoing investigations.
In addition to charitable enforcement work, the Law Clerk will provide comprehensive legal support to the AAGs across various agency programs.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Conduct in-depth legal research on complex administrative and statutory issues.
As a Law Clerk with the Office of the Secretary of State, you will support the Assistant Attorneys General (AAGs) in investigating and prosecuting violations of the Maryland Solicitations Act (Title 6, Business Regulation Article, Annotated Code of Maryland).
