Essential Functions: • Provides excellent customer service skills by greeting patients and the community in a respectful manner • Prepares & reviews patient charts for upcoming visits by verifying that all diagnostic test results, hospital reports, and other medical records are correct and up to date • Measures vital signs such as pulse rate, respiration, blood pressure, weight, and height • Performs departmental-related clerical duties such as checking inventory, stock supplies, track referrals, and answer phones as needed • Must possess the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems promptly • Other duties as assigned. Licensure/Certification: Active Medical Assisting certification from one of the following (required): • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) • American Association of Medical Assisting, Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) • American Medical Technologists, Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) • National Healthcareer Association (NHA) • Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) • National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) • National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
