If assisting with procedures, adheres to all federal, state and nursing regulations and protocols including but not limited to patient safety procedures such as verification of patient identification prior to proceduresImmediately prior to the start of any procedure in the procedure room, initiate/participates in a time-out and ensures correct patient, procedure, site and side, and that there are no additional concerns. Responsibilities include entering patient intake and provider orders into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), requesting medical records, utilizing the pharmacy drug monitoring program as directed by providers, recording vital signs and medical history, collecting patient information, and facilitating patient flow.
