One of the following is required: Three years of full time paid experience as a construction contractor or supervisor for non-residential buildings or structures within the scope of groups regulated by the rules of the board OR; three years of full time paid experience as a skilled tradesman for work subject to inspection under a model building code organization or a code adopted for non-residential buildings or structures within the scope of groups regulated by the rules of the board, or experience as specified in section 103.3.3(2) OR; successful completion of a trainee program pursuant to section 103.3.9. (Formerly Code Enforcement Inspector I, II, and III) Under supervision of the Commissioner of Code Enforcement, makes inspections of residential and commercial buildings and structures, or any appurtenances connected or attached to such buildings or structures in the course of construction for the purposes of ensuring compliance with laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations relating to the construction, alteration, movement, enlargement, replacement, repair, equipment, use and occupancy, location, removal and maintenance.
