This includes a full-time staff of clinical veterinarians and technicians and core services including: (1) Anatomic Pathology, (2) Biotelemetry, (3) Cellular Immunology, (4) Clinical Pathology, (5) Confocal Microscopy and Image Analysis, (6) Diagnostic Parasitology, (7) Flow Cytometry, (8) Infectious Disease Aerobiology, (9) Pathogen Detection and Quantification, (10) Vector-Borne Diseases, and tick-borne disease vectors), and (11) Virus Characterization, Isolation and Production. 2) collaborating with other investigators on the design, implementation and interpretation of diverse biomedical research projects involving infectious diseases and diseases associated with immune responses to pathogens (experience in metabolism research preferred), and to use this knowledge to develop tailored preventive and therapeutic strategies.
