Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, providing behavior support, assisting with academic instruction, collecting data, and assistance with self-care and other activities of daily living - all under the guidance of a licensed special education teacher. Since assisted living homes provide 24-hour care to residents, some Resident Assistants may need to be flexible and able to work irregular hours if additional coverage during overnight hours, holidays or weekends is needed.
