About the Role:
We're looking for a compassionate and organized Veterinary Receptionist to join our team in San Diego, CA! As the first point of contact for pet owners and their beloved animals, you'll play a vital role in creating a welcoming and caring environment. If you love animals and enjoy helping people, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival and check them in for appointments
- Answer and manage incoming phone calls, emails, and appointment scheduling
- Maintain and update patient records accurately in the veterinary management system
- Process payments, invoices, and handle billing inquiries
- Communicate effectively with veterinarians and veterinary technicians to coordinate patient flow
- Educate clients on clinic services, products, and follow-up care instructions
- Manage front desk operations and maintain a clean, organized reception area
Requirements:
- Prior experience in a veterinary, medical, or customer service receptionist role preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate demeanor
- Comfortable handling and being around animals of all types and sizes
- Proficiency in scheduling software and basic computer skills
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced clinical environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus in the San Diego area
