PetVet Care Centers'' Pet Doctors of America is currently seeking a Veterinary Receptionist (Care Coordinator) to join their team!

Position Overview

Join our team as a Care Coordinator who contributes to the success of a high-performing organization committed to delivering superior care and exceptional service. Performs a range of administrative and customer service tasks, providing valuable support to the hospital. Within the veterinary field, this position aligns closely with roles often titled Veterinary Receptionist, Customer Service Representative, or Client Care Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides excellent customer service in-person, over the phone, and during high-stress situations.
  • Manages lobby flow, addresses concerns, calms distressed owners, and schedules appointments.
  • Handles basic medical emergencies for pets and owners, ensuring safety and well-being.
  • Assists with medication pickups, inquiries, and provides information about services and products.
  • Inputs and manages data in practice management software, including billing and accounts.
  • Assists with retail sales, weighing pets, processing faxes, and maintaining records.
  • Reconciles cash drawer and performs end-of-day duties for accurate financial transactions.

Qualifications (Required)

  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this position
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years customer service experience
  • Skills: critical thinking, ability to prioritize tasks, willingness to go above and beyond for clients, ability to respond to client communications (verbal or via email or text) in a professional manner, tech savvy (we use several different platforms for client communication, prescriptions, patient treatment tracking, etc)
  • Candidate MUST be warm & bubbly, this position requires constant client interaction

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Veterinary experience preferred
  • Bonus points for familiarity with medications, procedures, Cornerstone (PIMS)
  • Fluent in English and Spanish preferred

Schedule

  • Schedule is typically 3 weekdays and 1 weekend day. Current needs are:

  • Monday from 8am-7pm

  • Thursday from 9am-7:15pm

  • Friday from 8am-7pm

  • Saturday from 7:45am-5:15pm

  • Schedule does sometime change every few months or so if needed with others'' school schedules. Ideal candidate would be flexible with a schedule change with a lot of notice.

  • Ideal candidate would be available to train for 4-6 weeks on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays and then after training move to Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays for a long term schedule.

Pay Range

$16-$18 USD
