    Job Summary

    Job Shift: Rotation

    Holiday Rotation:

    Department: ER

    Reporting to the Nursing Director, this position supports the unit by coordinating communications, performing order entry functions, maintaining files, and providing clerical support.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Education:

    • High school graduate or equivalent

    Minimum Experience/Skills:

    • Minimum one (1) year of recent experience as Unit Secretary in similar Emergency Department preferred
    • Knowledge of medical terminology
    • Basic computer knowledge, such as word processing, spreadsheet

    Licenses/Certificates/Credentials:

    • Must possess and maintain throughout the duration of employment:
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Provider issued by the American Heart Association
    • Current CPI card - Nonviolent Crises Intervention Training (must obtain within 90-day of hire/transfer)
