Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a night shift position in a heavy neuro unit at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring at least 1 year of tele experience.

Details

• Telemetry unit within a short-term acute care, Level II Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center teaching hospital
• Heavy neuro patient population including post-surgical neurology and various neurology diagnoses
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating between units and facilities within the state required
• No on-call responsibilities
• 48-hour work weeks approved
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license
• At least 1 year of telemetry experience required
• Comfortable with the NIH Stroke Scale and caring for post-surgical neurology patients
• No prior neuro experience required but willingness to learn is essential
• Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry nursing care within a busy neurology-focused unit
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and cannot live within 50 miles of the facility when applying
• Any color scrubs accepted for RNs
• No parking fees at this facility
