Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Telemetry – Tyler, TX 75701

Start Date: October 20, 2026

Location: Tyler, Texas

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Patient ratio 1:5-6. Weekend coverage required for approximately half of the contract duration.

Highlights:

• 36-bed cardiac telemetry unit with all private rooms serving young adult through geriatric patient populations
• Specialize in medical cardiac care including post-cardiac surgery, coronary artery stent placement, and pacemaker implant recovery
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• Work with hemodynamically stable cardiac patients requiring continuous telemetry monitoring
• 91-day travel assignment with orientation provided

Requirements:

• Active RN license (state or compact license required at time of application)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1.5 years in telemetry or medical-surgical telemetry
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with cardiac telemetry, post-cardiac procedures, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, vasoactive drips, and insulin protocols
• Proficiency in arterial line management, port access, BiPAP/CPAP, central line care, and other advanced cardiac nursing skills
• Must complete onboarding requirements within 48 hours of contract signing
