Priority admissions include patients requiring a medical level of cardiac care and those recovering from cardiac interventions, including: Cardiac surgery Coronary artery stent placement Pacemaker implantation Hemodynamically stable, non-procedural cardiac conditions The typical patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:5–6 .
