Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across Cardiovascular Telemetry, Neuro Telemetry, and Medical-Surgical units, with floating expected between units and between two campuses (approximately 9 miles apart)
• Must be able to titrate cardiac drips including Amiodarone, Cardene, Nitroglycerin, Heparin, Dobutamine, and Cardizem (titrating down only)
• Interpret EKGs using centralized telemetry monitoring systems
• Manage a patient population that may include post-cath lab, post-vascular, post-CABG, neuro post-surgical, CVA post-TPA, orthopedic, surgical, and oncology patients
• Collaborate with charge nurses, unit supervisors, PCTs, RT, and pharmacy teams available 24/7
• Float to similar or lower acuity units as needed, including ICU, Cardiac Tele, MedSurg, and holding areas; notification of unit and campus provided approximately 1.5 hours prior to shift start

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in Arizona
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required for Neuro Telemetry unit placement
• Must be able to interpret EKGs and manage cardiac drip titration
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to contract start (maximum of 2 attempts, within 48 hours of offer); failure to pass may result in ineligibility for placement
• Must pass a Simulation Lab assessment on day one of orientation; failure may result in ineligibility for placement
• Every other weekend availability required; holiday availability required per unit schedule

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in Cardiovascular Telemetry or Neuro Telemetry settings
• Familiarity with post-surgical patient populations including orthopedic, oncology, and neurological diagnoses
• Experience floating across multiple unit types and acuity levels
• Comfort working in a high-flex environment with variable unit and campus assignments within a single shift
