Contract | 13 Weeks | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Three 12-Hour Shifts) | Expected 36 Hours/Week | On-Site
Key Responsibilities
- Scrub and assist in cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) procedures, including open heart surgery and heart failure cases
- Support surgical teams during complex cardiothoracic procedures with a focus on patient safety and sterile technique
- Participate in on-call rotations as required by the unit
- Fulfill weekend shift requirements as part of the standard schedule
- Maintain and organize sterile surgical fields, instruments, and supplies throughout procedures
Required Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Minimum 3 years of experience in open heart surgery and heart failure cases
- Ability and willingness to participate in call and weekend requirements
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with lung and/or heart transplant procedures strongly preferred
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred
