Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg-Tele RN for a rapid admission unit at a Level 1 trauma center, requiring BLS, ACLS, and at least 2 years of specialty experience.

Details

• Admission unit caring for general medical and surgical patients awaiting surgery
• Rapid admission unit with faster patient turnover than a typical medical surgical unit
• Patient ratio of 5-6:1 for Med/Surg RN
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• No on-call responsibilities
• Travelers expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month

Requirements

• Active RN license (GA or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Med/Surg-Tele specialty required
• Experience in high-acuity, high-volume trauma hospitals required
• Must be able to communicate clearly and work independently
• Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered

Additional Information

• Work in a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center handling complex and challenging cases
• Proven success in high-pressure, large-scale trauma environments preferred
• Experience managing critical, fast-paced situations required
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as the travel rate
• Block scheduling is generally not approved for this unit
